This is a new area of creativity for Mareth. It all began when she started to find ancient trade beads on the beach. Many of them are up to three hundred years old and vary in size and color. Also, beach glass of rare colors, which have been sanded by the waves for a hundred years, are very jewel-like in appearance; they have become like semiprecious stone and are being added to her wire-worked pieces. In addition, worn pieces of ancient and vintage Asian pottery shards as well as shards with European origins are now finding their way into wire settings to make earrings, necklaces and bracelets. A collection of these pieces will be coming soon.
